Cell Tower Fire in Poulsbo

The tower, on Highway 305 near Lemolo, caught fire just before 4 a.m., according to the Poulsbo Fire Department. The fire caused structural damage to the tower and it began leaning toward the highway. It is shut down while construction crews work with large cranes to fix the tower.

Prefab Homes on Bainbridge Island

Two prototype green-built homes that spent several months at the city's old dump were finally moved to a permanent Winslow location this week. The two small prefab units will be sold at a low rate by the Housing Resources Board, a Bainbridge Island based affordable housing organization.
